I'm succumbing to the "crop factor" disease, starting to yearn for effective focal lengths on the M8 that match film.
For that reason I keep thinking about how nice a 60mm lens would be for a short tele on the M8.
There seems to be a dearth of information about 60s in LTM or M (probably because very few were made).
The only ones I know in existence so far:
Konica 60/1.2
Leica 60/3.5
Zeiss 60/1.5
Very hard to find out anything about these lenses, much less hear user comments and see photos taken with them. Any comments and especially photos would be really welcome.

The 60/3.5 is not coupled, Jon, AFAIK.

The classic 60/1.5 Zeiss lens is one of the rarest LTM lenses out there. It also came in 58mm incarnations.

Here are a few 60/1.2 shots: http://www.flickr.com/groups/m-mount/pool/tags/KonicaHexanon60mmf1.2LTM

One way to get there might be to get a 58mm SLR lens and have Amedeo or Brian convert it ?

There were Helios-44-2, Minolta 58/1.4, and the Noct Nikkor (1.2) among others.

Cheers,

Roland.

Recently, a camera collector asked me to work on five "odd-ball" lenses. They were all marked 5cm F1.5, but one was longer focal length. It was uncoated, and made into a single helical LTM lens.

Read about these lenses here:

test gallery here:

Note the FOV of the first test lens is narrower than the others. I think it was a 6cm lens cast into a custom mount.

Some people could make a 5.8cm F1.4 Nikkor-S into LTM. But not me, mine is on a Nikon F Photomic.

There's a lot of information in the links to digest...and I just got back from Korea. I'll have to chew on this slowly. Thanks, Brian!
