A few more, since I'm stuck at SFO airport in the middle of the night. Bob's MG around the corner from me; chimes and pinot trellis; irises by the backyard pond. All GW690, on expired Kodak 100 from fellow RFFer Rogier.

Here's a shot with my Plaubel Makina I, sporting one of the 25 Zeiss Goerz-Dagor f=6cm 1:9 ever made for the mount.
Used Portra 400 pushed to 800 to be able to handhold.

This is a great thread with lots of excellent images. I just bought a Fuji GW690 II. I hope to have something worthy of adding to this thread soon.

Before anyone shoots me for posting this 35mm Portra 400 BW frame in a dedicated 6x9 thread, they may wish to pull out a second revolver and shoot me for semi-permanently (so far) converting a Fuji GSW690 to run that format!
The odd cropping is due to the transport rails I added to stop the film from curling. The camera is a work in progress and is still leaking light after having its seals replaced (The camera was very well loved before I rescued it from the Orient to commit such sacrilegeous acts to it.)
This test image is of the Peace River in northern Alberta, about an hour east of Dawson Creek where the Alaska Highway starts.

If it yields test images like this, I'd love to see your serious images! Have you got a thread going anywhere with pix/explanation of the camera itself? This sounds like an interesting project and I would not call it sacrilege. There are enough 690s out there that the world can probably afford to have you hack one, especially if it was a beater.

There are worse acts than this, and if it yields results you like, then why not? Better that, then letting a camera go to rot. I liked the test shot too.

I have converted an old Polaroid Pathfinder 110A to take 600SE backs. At first I had just the standard Polaroid pack film CB72/103 type backs made for the 600SE and Miniportraits etc. A few weeks back I completed grafting a Graflex 23 to the 600SE mount, which now means I can do 6x9 with the same camera.
More on the conversion here, if interested: http://on-your-kitchen-worktop.blogspot.no/2012/08/lucy-hybrid-120-roll-film-adapter.html

As I love my GSW690, my heart did skip a beat reading about the conversion. But not having to change film every 8 shots - hmm, how did you do that?

I recently got this camera and got around to running a roll of Kodak Portra 160 through it. Some pics from this roll:

Thanks Andy. Yes, I'm in the Seattle area - work in the SLU area, but live north of Seattle, in Lynnwood. Good to see another Seattlite.

I'm scared of clowns

From a recent trip to Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. Fuji G690BL + 65mm f8 (shot at f/16). Overlooking the hoodoos, in bright daylight around 10am. Need to get an ND filter next so I can shoot Velvia 50 without worrying that I had overexposed!! I used sunny 16 rule...
