This photo comes with a little baggage, so to speak. I originally got this Fujica GL690 65mm f5.6 lens cheaply as it was covered in haze. A few test photos showed how bad it was. I tried days in acetone,boiling in water, polishing compounds, all to no avail. I removed the rear lens element and had at it with sand paper ( 800 to 1500 grit ) and then coarse
auto paint rubbing compounds. I kinda like the results ( for this picture anyway ), now I've got some pitch and I plan on making a polishing tool with it (similar to telescope lens polishing tools ). I'll keep you posted and wish me luck. Hard to imagine my thoughts as I put the sand paper to the lens !

I bet that was a strange feeling , but you at least dis something with it , I like the look as you say for this picture , so allyou have to do is keep piking scenes like this.
This picture was taken with a good Fujica 65mm F6.5 lens I got after seeing my first test photos with the above modified lens. Peter
