Hi everybody,

I plan to buy a Apo-Summicron 75 Asph. Sometimes in the future, I will further get a Leica MP, but at this point, there's no money left for it, so the only body I own at the moment is the Zeiss Ikon, which unfortunately doesn't offer a 75mm frame. Does anybody have any experiences with using a 75mm lens on the Zeiss Ikon? Does it work sufficiently? Is the 85mm frame (or the 50mm) of any help?

Thanks and kind regards,
Thorsten

Voigtländer makes a 75mm accessory finder with 1X magnification, which you can mount in the camera shoe for critical framing. The Leica 75mm/2 AA is a great lens!

Any Bessa is not a Zeiss camera BUT the R2M and R3M lets you mount any 75mm lens and have only the 75mm frame showing in the viewfinder: a significant benefit, IMHO.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am (thankfully) in the same spot of using the 75 'cron w/ the Zeiss Ikon. The camera brings up the 50mm frame lines, but I am thinking the 85 would be closer. I may try to but tape on the camera to keep the 85mm frame lines in place - then buy a nikon magnifier. Any suggestions other than those above? THANKS
