Any vacancy left?
Sorry, I got the last seat.
But I can let you have it for, say . . . $10,000 ?

Iceland isn't cheap country
I think disposable iphones are included?
And finally, would you consider attending if cost would be $500? Would Leica be Leica cost it $1000 like Fuji compact?

In spite of the name, Iceland has a lot of geothermal energy which is harnessed. These people are not freezing. They may actually be soaking in a bikini in a natural hot pool.
Good point about the hot springs. I've hiked in Iceland and the hot springs are a nice relief from the chilly weather. It must be that the photo sessions will feature hot springs. If not, I'll go back to my original idea of the models shivering while posing on a glacier or volcanic rock.

Included with your workshop fee is the full 7-day program with 8 nights of accommodation in hotels as well as breakfast and all food during the workshop.
That is a perfectly reasonable price for Iceland.

David Vestal is heading a week-long workshop on darkroom technique for the jaw-dropping price of $895 in June.

I am thinking of going if I can swing it (it's in Montana, would be a fun 'on the road' photo trip).
I only know Vestal from his book on enlarging, so I can't vouch for the workshop. However, comparing this to the iPhone workshop, I suspect this is another shining example of money being a poor measure of things.

P.T. Barnum...Come on, lads. Surely this chap has just picked up on that great American motto: "There's a sucker born every minute"?

Go to Iceland with your i-phone ... or stay at home and photograph the cat with your M9 and Noctilux?

That's really too bad.
I would probably join his workshop on Platinum / Palladium printing.
But iPhone apps?

I saw a man in New York today carrying an iPhone with some sort of clip-on lens and mounted on a tripod.
Dan Burkholder is on the Advisory Board at Freestyle Photographic. They feature him in their catalogues.
For $7500 I would want him to provide me a new iPhone. Not a 4S or even a iPhone 5. No, I'd want an iPhone 6.

Anyway, he does do some interesting things printing platinum over gold leaf.
If he can get folks to pony up $7500 for an iPhone photography course, then he certain is adept at marketing.

If I was, say, a 14 year old kid, and I took photos with my iPhone 5, I'd be pretty darn impressed with the photos.
I'd wonder what kind of sucker would pay for any other type of expensive camera, and why?

Ok, Keith, I agree.
That is the one thing that is more ridiculous than this workshop.
