If you have a chance to find the Color Heliar 75/2.5 SL for the Nikon, try it out. It's such a lovely portrait piece of glass...

Never had one. I would like to hear some discussion of folks who use a 75mm lens, some technical details etc. Which ones, why you use it? Anyone using one more than 50% of the time?
i don't shoot a 75, but a 28/75 combo seems really appealing as a 2 lens travel kit. I wonder if any RFF people can comment about using this combo for travel?
One difficulty I find with the 75 is framing. The little corner brackets inside the 50mm frame are not always enough to prevent me from accidentally using the 50mm frameline instead. I've gotten a few shots that were tighter than intended!
Has this happened to anyone else?
The 75mm FOV should be quite popular now that everyone is using a 50 on their crop SLRs
Is this optically the same lens as the LTM mount version? If you have a chance to find the Color Heliar 75/2.5 SL for the Nikon, try it out. It's such a lovely portrait piece of glass...
For me, 35/75 is the perfect two lens RF kit.

I agree and when I have room for a third lens it's a 21.
