800px < 800px for a posted image ?

I just posted a picture in "cameras and coffee" thread. The image I uploaded was 800px wide. It appears to be maybe 600px wide in the thread. When I "save image as . . ." back to my computer, it saves the image at 800px.

But the thread still shows it a lot smaller than 800px.

I have done this many times and never noticed this happening before.

Any clues about why ?


EDIT: I just checked a previous photo that I posted in that same thread and yeh it is also smaller than 800px . . . ?

I just checked your post and it shows as 800 px for me Dave ... maybe it's something in your browser settings?

Same here... That is, daveleo's post looks fine at 800px. Safari browser here, on Mac.

It's Chromium doing something weird.
Firefox looks good.

Cheers Dave ... I've used 'chrome' a little and can't say I like it much. Firefox suits me better.
