Leica LTM 90mm or longer lenses for a Leica SM...what do you like to use?

Good Day,

I very much enjoy using my IIIc for shooting vintage race cars and would like to add some longer lenses to the quiver. As much as wish I could afford some a 90mm f2 summicron, it isnt going to happen. That being said, I would like to add a 90mm and a 135mm lens to the kit, with something in the range of a f2 or so.

What do ya'll like to use?

(I currently have a late 30's 90mm elmar f4.5)
 
Of the 2 my favorite is the 9cm f/4 Elmar. I prefer the "look" of my images over the faster glass..

I have come back to the 13.5cm with my Canon Serenar 13.5 f/3.5 though..

I have the same elmar, very happy with it, but something faster would be nicer.

will check out the Serenar.
 
Canon black last version 135/3.5.
Nikkor late, all chrome 8.5cm/2.0.
If those are too long or too slow,
Nikkor late, black aperture ring 5.0cm/1.4.
1950s character with 21st century quality.

The first good camera I ever used was my dad"s Leica lllF. Used to go to the Can-Am and Trans-Am races in Bridge Hampton LI where I used a Nikor 105/2.5 LTM with an Nikor viewfinder. It was a great combo that I wish I still had.
 
I had an F2 90mm Summicron for my M2 and it was a monster of a lens. In fact I hardly used it because it weighed more than the camera body so I rarely took it with me and stuck with the Elmar F4 instead.
The 9cm Elmar is an under-rated gem of a lens with a Barnack and a very decent performer. I can't say the same about the 13.5cm Elmar/Hektor. It is two or three times the size of the 9cm and you have to be very precise with the paralax adjustment or you can miss you target completely.
One lens I'm still kicking myself for not buying when I saw one for £70 at a camera show a few years ago is the 7.3cm Hektor. Prices have gone silly which is a shame as it could be a good user.
 
Found the following today:

an 85mm/ f1.9 cannon with no other name on it for $450

and

a 135mm/ f3.5 cannon with no other name on it for $199

There were some Serrenar? 135mm/f4 there I think too.

Going to try out the 85/f1.9 and the 135/f3.5 hopefully and see how they are. Thank everyone for your help! Do those prices look ok? Lens were scratch free and clean.
 
Canon 100/3.5. I've love something faster but faster would mean bigger... and that means I'm less likely to carry it around. This lens is small enough that I'll throw it in a bag just in case. 🙂

I really prefer it over the canon 135 for that reason alone though the image quality from the 135 is great as well.
 
Another vote for the 9cm Elmar. It's the cheapest LTM lens I own, but dollar-for-dollar it's fabulous. It's small and light, and easy to balance on the camera, and good luck shooting f/2 in daylight anyways on a camera with a 1/1000s top shutter speed.

I have a pre-war 90mm elmar which I am happy with, but would like a faster lens, hence the search. I shoot lots of 50 speed and 100 speed film so having the option of cranking that lens wide open is useful.
