Anyone here shoot their GXR with a 90mm Cron? I tried mine and it won't focus to infinity. Wondering if this is true for all Cron 90's on GXR, since my 90 works fine on either of my M7 and M4-P.

So far I have tried 50mm Summarit f1.5 and 28mm Elmarit with no problems. I did, however, have the same infinity focus problems with m42 lenses, which I thought was due to the adapter I am using, but now I'm wondering maybe there might be something wrong with my GXR instead.

Hi, I have the Elmar 90/4, the Canon 135/3.5. No problems.
Also my Telyt mirror 500/8, that was adapted for EOS, focusses with an EOS to M-adapter more or less exactly at the infinity mark. This lens has an overshoot focus (can focus after infinity).

Is a negative made with the cron at F/2 (un)sharp? Perhaps your rangefinder of the M7 signals ok, but you have back focus in reality.
With the GXR you have live view, that is better (to focus).

Hi. Thanks for the response. I haven't been using it for a long time. It's been in the drybox ever since I took it apart by accident - was trying to get a filter off but it was stuck fast and the whole front part of the lens came off instead. Didn't have any problems focusing it at f4.0 or f2.0 previously on my M6TTL. Will need to shoot a test roll again with the M7 and M4-P to verify.

I have just noticed that it now rattles in the front part, too. I'm sure that was recent, cos I would have noticed it if it had happened before. That could be the source of the problem, I don't know. From what I have read it's likely just a loose screw. Problem is, the front part is covered by the sliding lens hood so I can't see the screws.

Beg pardon, but what are you doing with Leica products?
You MAY use Leica products. They should be CLAed (cleaned, lubricated and adjusted) every few years. Of course this isn`t necessary, this stuff has been built to last a century. But one sends his stuff to Solms being a real Leicanist.
If you don't do this, beware of the Last Day. This - your - behavior counts negative.

PS
Perhaps we meet each other personally in the underworld then, because I don´t let CLA my lenses either.

Haha. As this photo of my M4-P shows, I frequently mistreat my Leicas:
