A bath for a finder?

Two days ago I acquired the Universal Viewfinder. While am satisfied with mechanical and optical quality it has a few dust speckles stuck to the screen inside. I've tried cleaning it using a lenspen and q-tips (following the directions from a document found at beststuff forum), but with little success.

Now, I ponder of giving it a full dive into ethanol alcohol, as in theory it should quickly evaporate without leaving any drying marks. I wonder how safe is that for the finder optics?
 
OK, forget the bath: the garbage was actually on the prisms.
