A Dilemma What would you do

I've been offered a really nice, fully serviced, Leica IIIf RD delayed action, for a good price, but with money as it is I have to sell to generate funds. Now what would you do, I'm toying with selling my Contax G1 with 45/2 glass, (green label.

The second thing you need to be aware of is they are nothing alike in terms of operation, Nothing

I've had a IIf and IIc in the past, which I had to sell to generate funds, I've shot with leicas for quite a few years, and I know that the question is like compaing chalk and cheese, anyway if I got rid of the G1 I suppose the lenses would have to go too

Lol, when I read the title line of dilemma, I had half expected to hear that you'd found a Noctilux for less than a grand, but you would need to sell your first car to raise the funds 🙂

Given the cost and plentifulness of Leica IIIf's, I'd say keep your Contax, and save for a IIIf, if the alternative is to sell to raise funds.

Personally, I'd keep the Contax. What are you gaining from the Leica at the expense of the Contax that one of your other cameras doesn't already offer?

Keep the Contax, it's a great camera and as you already know, the lenses are some of the best.

Keep the Contax, but buy the Leica as well. More cameras is better than less. To fund it, consider selling your car. What is it they say? ... "Zoom with your feet."

All depends on what a 'really good price' is. If it's $200 I'd say go for it, but if it's $400 I'd be a bit more hesitant.

Loading the Leica will feel awfully slow compared to your Contax G1.

Yep Family will normally help out, but I have just been helped out with a roof repair so funds are limited, I've decided to keep theContax and save for a Leica III
