Ok, I know this is really weird! 😱

Is anybody here a member of Suicide Girls, the web site, specifically the photography group?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm getting a whole flurry of hits on my blog listing a page there as the referring site. I've tried pulling it up, but it wants me to log in, etc., etc.

I looked around a bit, and it almost looks like a porn-ish site, and I don't think it's something I want to register for just out of curiosity.

The exact link of the page I'm getting the referrals from is:

I kinda thought it might be something like that.

The item that was referred to was one I posted some time ago when I realized I was being watched somewhat closely when shooting Cloud Gate in Chicago.

They have lightened up quite a bit -- last time I was there, there was a group of guys openly shooting it with a tripod, and no guard was paying any attention.

However, mine was not the only story, ca. 2005, of amateurs being watched or even confronted for photographing The Bean.

I doubt it. From what I hear there is no age limit. All you need is a lot more self-confidence if you are older than a teenager!
 
I asked the management company back in 2005. This was the reply:

"Hello.

Permits are not required for personal photography. Tripod use is ok, as long as
you're not on the great lawn (in front of the Pritzker Pavillion) or blocking
access to the public.

Permits are required for professional photographers, individuals setting up
equipment (other than tripods) such as tents or lighting, and individuals who
would like the right to use the images for commercial purposes.

Permits may be obtained from MB Real Estate by calling 312-744-6050.

Thank you."
