A Few Photos from Uzbekistan

the wedding dress is my favourite - dreams vs reality, perhaps? Do you have any others to share?

Thank you for your comments. Here are a few more, if I can get them to upload -- a problem with my internet here.

I'm trying to decide if I should keep shooting with digital or go back to film. It's a bit of a trade off on lots of fronts. It's fun to lurk around on this site. Lots of good info and photos.

Do you have blog or anything as well? Would love to learn more about how easy it is to travel around there etc. Great shots! Would love to see more too :)

jay--those are really excellent pictures.
Things look very "un-modern"--I am sure that's not the case everywhere in the country.
The one with the wedding dress is super--
Thanks for posting.

Great shots especially the wedding dress-who wore it and where is she now? That's what this photo says to me.

Post more please.

I updated my website recently with an Uzbek gallery. It shows a broader context for some of these shots. The interface is a bit clunky, and a couple of the buttons don't work, but I'm a bit technically slow with web stuff. They can be found at jaykuhlmann.com at the bottom of the main page or by clicking the uzbekistan link.

Thanks again for looking at and responding to these.

Jay, an excellent set of images from a country not well known.
I particularly like the people images..so expressive.

Lovely work.

Best wishes and warm regards.
