I am completely new to the RD1 with a used sample of an early model.
I have 3 used non EPSON batteries at hand and would like to know a few things about shooting and battery drain.
I do not use the LCD (except some very rare occasions, to check back the exposure in tricky light).
1)
I do like, to have the camera switched of during a longer walk in the city.
Does the RD1 drain the battery by simply having it switched on (switch on on, meter off, LCD display off)?
2)
Can I switch the camera off, while it writes to the card?
3)
What is the usual normal amount of photographs taken with one battery charge with:
a) JPG only
b) raw only
c) JPG + raw ?
4)
Are there modern electronic devices, which share the same battery type with the old RD1 for a up to date high capacity new battery?
5)
Which are the weak points to check with used RD1 (I have only 14 days of money exchange warranty)?
