A few recent photos....

okay, I think I will make a small tutorial about scanning on my website during the christmas Holidays, I think i will write it in french and english and post it here :)

I spend about a week to make a roll so I don't care spending 2 hours scanning ;)

Very nice shots. Is this the French "bullfighting" event, where bulls live to fight another day?

LOVE it.....<laugh>

@Vince: Thanks for posting your images. I genuinely enjoyed them. Not often one gets to see period equip. shots.

Demian -- Thanks for the words of encouragement. I only wish I had more that were worth posting. Using the vintage stuff is such a nice counterpoint to all the digital equipment that I use during the week to 'make money'....don't think I'd have the opportunity to use my Leica III for a paying client -- mostly it's shots of food, interiors, fashion and other 'commercial' stuff. Who knows, maybe someday soon!

I know it's been a while -- here are a few more recent ones from our latest European sojourn to add to the collection. First one is in Brittany, second one is from the top of Chartres Cathedral, third one is one of the Normandy beaches.

Three more Euro shots...I'm getting there! One is a quick grab shot at the Eiffel Tower, the other is the Mauritzhaus in Den Haag, and a third is a wedding party I happened upon in Paris. You guys have way more interesting stuff over there!

First two with a 35mm Summaron (love that lens!), and the third with a 50mm collapsible Summicron.

I love the shot of the painting and window. I've been on the fence about the 35 Summaron. You may have just convinced me to pull the trigger. Which version are you using? 2.8 or 3.5? Which film?

The Summaron is an extremely beautiful lens. The one I have is the f/3.5, and the film I used on that shot was Ilford XP2. I have two other 35mm lenses that are surprisingly quite good: one is a newish 35mm f/1.7 Voigtlander, and the other is a Steinheil 35mm f/4.5, which I paid $ 50.00 for about 20 years ago, and I've seen those now going for over $ 400.00!

That painting is at the Mauritzhaus in Den Haag, Netherlands. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Thanks, Vince. That picture reminds me of something i would expect to see in a Ralph Gibson book. In addition to the lens, perhaps i need to reconsider XP2. Very nice.
