A guy's bag

Some of the best inexpensive bags are diaper bags -- waterproof -- after all, if they won't let the liquid out, they won't let it in either. And no one wants to steal a diaper bag.

I think Rover used to have one... Or at least that's what I remember.

Bags... they are insidious to sneak into your life. I had none, and no need until I got the first. Then got into rangefinders and got one, and then another... The last one is a small Domke FX5B: smallish, not padded but tough enough for a body with lens, an additional lens and my flash (yep, I use flash for fill sometimes).

Good job, Rover!

Yes the diaper bag...I am just working on extentions of that wonderful invention. Actually, I just use my son as an excuse now and stuff more of my stuff in whatever bag I take with us.

True story, important for men, my wife went out an bought our first diaper bag. A cute thing, made me feel, well, you know when I carried it. Thankfully, for the rediculous price she paid for it, it fell apart pretty quickly. I immediately went on the hunt looking for something more "appropriate." If in need, go look at Lands End, nice stuff, well built and just bag looking, not cute.

also try those bigger lunch bags. they kinda look like diaper bags (going on very old memories here). they insulate and keep dry also. i keep one in the trunk of my car in the summer and throw whatever i'm using into it.

and for me, my used domke bag might be here as early as monday. faded black...

I'll second that vote for the lunch bag. I've got one that I don't think anybody would ever think of stealing. Of course it says "Igloo" on it rather than "Leica", or "Canon". It's dirty, worn, and has a few mustard stains. It's also water resistant and well padded.
