I received a nice e-mail from Doug Morganstern, the Manager at
A&I Photographic & Digital in LA.

Since I seem to shoot more film lately, i wanted to make sure they were still planning to keep processing C41/B&W/E6 films.

"..we will continue to process film and will do so as long as there is still a demand for it. It's really up to the film shooters out there to keep it alive!"

I've used them for quite some time and their work has always been top notch for my processing. It's nice to know they haven't abandoned us film shooters yet. ;)
 
They are probably the preeminent B&W lab on the West coast. I send things there and it comes back perfectly exposed w/ no finger prints, dust or scratches. They call you if they have any doubt about how you want your order filled. In short, they're the very definition of a pro lab. Not cheap, but professional.

I also want to put in a good word here for the Black and White Lab in Prescott, Az (NOT the one in Tucson). Never a problem, quick turn arounds, and professional results every time. Good to know there are at least 2 pro labs for us film shooters.
 
A lot of photo shops use A&I...I haven't dealt with them personally but may have to soon...
I'm looking for a lab to make enlargements from either 35mm, 120 or 4x5 transparencies...
I'm supposed to be looking for prices...(it's for a fundraiser)
