Now that replacement bulbs are not available for arguably the best semi-pro film scanner ever made, the supportless Minolta Scan Multi Pro, we are left with aging Nikon designs which are over priced, for the most part not that good with Kodachrome and B&W, still have kludgy software and require horrificly over priced accessories.
I've been shopping for a replacement for my Minolta and have decided to go (kicking and screaming) with a flatbed for my medium format and a Nikon 4000 or 5000 to cover the 35mm.
Do you think Nikon will generate a new scanner soon and it's better to wait, or should we all wait for a Leica scanner? It would sure be more useful to me than an M8!
Have digital cameras killed digital scanners too?
