The eyepiece that comes with the body offers no relieve as the rubber cushion is too little. Read elsewher that the nikon eyecup can be use on the bessa?
Make sure that eyepiece is screwed in tightly - I've already lost mine and had the experience of being told it would cost $25 and about eight weeks to replace it.
mine dropped off during the camera's first outing. Luckliy i heard it when it bounced off the ground.

I used to try to put my FM Nikon eyepiece into that R3A and fit perfectly so Nikon rubber eyecup should be fit well. I don't have the eyecup used on my camera because of the size is too big, I feel uncomfortable to open and close the camera back with the eyecup blocks on it's way.
If the eyepiece on the R3a is the same as the R,
the answer is yes, any Nikon rubber that fits the
N80 series will work well on the Bessa. The larger
full cup style will also work with a little Dremel work.
