using a tripod, same subjects, same distance and same fstops, and making all comparision shots withing a couple of minutes of one another. sorry about the size. pics have been huge since i switched to photobucket pro. need to do something about it. bw400cn film, walgreens processing, scanning:
canon 50/1.8, f3.5, focus on the chevy emblem ((i think i bumped it on the j-8 shot):

canon, f11 (you can see in this series how scattered clouds slightly altered shadows, highlights), focus on the target square, which literally had been a target for my .45/70 single shot rifle:

now, if one of you guys knows how to turn this into a side-by-side thing, and compare some crops, please do so. i don't have the know-how ...
