She'll need a third hand to push the shutter release.
Most of my classic cameras are to heavy for my 3 year old daughter to use. Not that she is much interested in taking photos. She prefers posing in front of the camera. And she doesn't understand why my cameras don't have a display in the back.

I've only just gotten my son (3 yrs as well) to stop trying to use the front of the lens as a combination headrest/viewfinder...
