A new video

Do we have a Thai member who could translate?

This is a side by side comparison of cameras with v1.1 and v2.0 firmware.

The autofocus demo is a little hard to gauge, but the manual focus demo is dramatic.
 
I've forwarded the video to a friend of mine who lived in Thailand and taught English while she was training in Thai massage. I suspect the technical jargon will be out of her grasp, but we'll see what she can pull from it. I think, though, that the images show pretty clearly the improvements.
 
From what I can see,

1. AF speed looks to be much faster (not that it was that bad before).
2. LCD/EVF doesn't freeze during focussing anymore.
3. Manual focusing speed is far far more responsive - can almost rack the entire focussing range in one ring turn, whereas before it took 5-6 turns of the ring.
4. Different levels of magnification make it easier to manual focus.
5. Eye sensor on viewfinder is faster/more responsive.

Man, Fuji is talking this up... they better get it right or people will be complaining severely. ;)
