This concept is quite new to me, so need basic help.
My wife's birthday has passed with no gift presented which isn't a good idea at all...you know...;)
She is an avid reader, used to read ebooks through my laptop. Granted, not very convenient way, but so far works.
I heard there are electronic reader devices available, that just mimick a regular book in electronic way, small (yet reasonably large to allow conevnient reading), portable, power-efficient. I'd like to get one for my wife.
I'm new to this, would like to get through these, get to know what is available, options, features, prices, etc.... Also, would like to figure a few recommended online supplier to buy from (shuold ship overseas and accept CC and/or Paypal).

Please shed some ligth on the issue...

Thanks, Alex

I did some research along these lines a few months ago when my Sharp Zaurus went toes up. I found iRex Iliad looked like the best of breed. With the Sony Reader second place for my needs.

As for sources of books. Many Books is a nice interface to the Project Gutenburg texts and Fictionwise also for other texts.

Dear Alex, I use my Palm Zire 71 for the ebook reading: I am happy of this tool.
Manybooks.net and memoware.com are good sources for ebooks.
Hope this help!
Ciao
