a question of G35 lens

I am new to Contax G system and just bought a G35 lens and cannot try it on body which is still on the way. I found that the aperture ring stop at the position between 5.6 and 8 and contact seller, I was told the aperture ring will be ok when it mounted on body. Is this statement right?😕

Yes, when it is mounted on the body or an adapter correctly, the number will be aligned right. Make sure you mount it correctly though.
