Here is a bit of history on eBay: a Leica Ic. Cupog is one of the better sellers. I bought my Flexaret Va from him. I would trust this is the real thing.

In Leica language, the "I" series had neither rangefinder nor slow speeds. "II" had the rangefinder but no slow speeds. It's a no-brainer what "III" had.

That even applied after the M series came out. There was one version, made for scientific work, that was useless without the reflex housing. Guess they wanted to cover all the bases.
