A very productive day

Thank you Airfrogus, PF, Raid and Darthfeeble!

Darth, I like to squeeze every last bit of tone out of a raw file. In contrasty light, it is easy to approach HDR like results. And I like to underexpose a little, to capture the sky, and then pull up the shadows.

Another fruitful day.

Another fruitful day.

There it goes again, a day better than fireworks.

First I was greeted by these two :

All this happened before the day really started :

to be continued...

Some not so ordinary street photography pictures on these two pages here.
Interesting progress from where it has started by OP not so long time ago.

I wonder how many of them are not blind shots from the hip, but framed ones.

Thank you for noting progress. I am a beginner in 'street photography'.
Timid by nature, studio photographer by education, pointing my camera at people is a new sensation.

I float between absolute control, and just wildly pointing my camera at somebody. Quite a few are no good. But I get very happy surprises. Often, the surprise isn't that great, I have a decent idea of what the shot will look like, even with the camera at 90 degrees of midriff.

edit : on review, of the last nine on this page one was shot looking through the viewfinder, the others were all 'free hand'. As are the ones I put on the gallery today.

Cheers!

Great showing L. Keep'm come'n. I like what i am seeing. I think the two hand in foreground shots on the previous page are a very interesting pairing. Diptych maybe? Keep it up....
