a Vote for the "worst" word used in the RFF in 2006

As usual late to the party. M8 gets my vote; as for bokeh it's just a regular (not terribly polite) Japanese word that means spaced out, or senile. You could say you were feeling a little boke today if you forgot your keys or something like that.
it sounds lclose to Okay with a "B" in front.

Back in the pre-Internet days, I read photo magazines for years before understanding what "tyro" meant (last generation's word for Noob/Newbie).

Tyro", alternative spelling "Tiro", also means a novice or beginner, from the Latin tiro meaning a young soldier, a recruit.

In case you did not know
In Greek mythology, Tyro was the daughter of Salmoneus and mother of Pelias and Neleus. Her father, Salmoneus, was the brother of Athamus.

Very informative topic, have to admit :D :D :D

Well it's not a word but it's a total pet-peeve of mine. People who post SLR and Digital images to the W/nW forum. This is a RANGEFINDER website! It should be devoted to rangefinder photography! There are hundreds of other websites devoted to SLR/Digital photography... post them there!

Tyro is still used as part of the callsign for trainee pilots over the radio. ;)

No, Lense is a (common on the internet) misspelling of lens

It may be starting to become accepted by some dictionaries as a "variant", but that's because so many people have been spelling it wrong.

Oh, I get it, kinda like "potatoe". :) :) :)

{ ducking, running, hiding }

I'll agree on "bokeh" because all that talk about it just helped me spend a lot of money to find out what the deal is...
