A6300 announced

I'm interested to c what the new tech they bring to market since it will be what is gonna be on the Fuji X series or Ricoh GR..

Yeah, until it is actually in those cameras, it doesn't matter to me either....and then might not even matter then.

"worlds fastest auto focus" .. a $ every time somebody claims that

Yes, and they can all spout how fast their AF is. Unless it can match a DSLR, it useless spouting their AF speeds.
I'm sure mirrorless will one day have it, until then they all sound like the golfing manufacturers..."buy our driver and you will hit the ball 20 yards further".....Bull$h!t.

Well actually Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony are not bull$hit... they are fast. When Fuji claims it, then it feels like BS.

Fuji sensors are that bad?

Not at all, many happy users out there. I just don't have enough skills to master the small little green details in nature shots....although I tried every available raw converter and every trick published on the internet.

Fast is a moot point here, the 109 i have is just as fast as my OMD, but no mirrorless tracks like a DSLR, so AF speed is like the lochness monster.

Yep..

Another way to look at this is tech moves forward, af speed is gonna get better, whether dslr or mirrorless. The real question is not whether it is as good as the dslr for tracking or af speed, but is it good enough for your needs. We all have different needs.

3 new expensive FF lenses, but no new APS-C lenses. That's the problem.

Yep, +1 on this.

I was more interested in the lenses than the camera. At least Sony are bringing out new lenses.

I have everything I need, except one thing... a decent long/super prime telephoto. 300mm would do.

Exactly...your photographic needs.
A lot of M43rd/Mirrorless users lose sight of that when GAS hits them.

You have to listen and read carefully when something is being "marketed" to you. They are experts at telling you what you want...not need :) and, they will always coat it with chocolate.

I'd rather see an improvement in battery life. I've never owned a product where the charger gets used as often as the one for this Sony does.

Fortunately I really do like their wall charger.

No it's not moot... we don't all photograph the same way. There's a huge difference in single point AF in a lot of these cameras. I don't use continuous, but I do use fast AF. There is no one size fits all in photography or cameras.

And you are comparing two M43 cameras...of course they are similar in speed.

The A6000 is a fabulous camera and a bargain.

Sony has some track record for making improvements with each new model. I suspect the 6300 will be terrific. AF is great on the A6000, so is the frame rate and the sensor. Best strategy in tech is to up-stage your own products before the competitors do. Sony is playing this game pretty well, IMHO.

Do I go with each new model upgrade? Expensive to stay at the bleeding edge. I usually skip one, take the next, and have a "wow" experience. I guess that means the 6500 for me.

For those using the A6000, and thinking of an A6300 upgrade, are there a few lenses that you would recommend or are your 'go to' lenses?
