A6300 announced

That's easy, not that many available:
UWA: Zeiss Touit 12/2.8 is the best, but I use the Sony 10-18/4 which is good enough.
WA: Sony 24/1.8, expensive but good. Cheap and a little wider, the Sigma 19/2.8 - from what I've seen the Sony 20/2.8 isn't that much better.
Normal: Zeiss Touit 32/1.8 has the best IQ, the Sony 35/1.8 is close but a little cheaper and adds OSS. Want cheaper still? Get the Sigma 30/2.8 if you can live with f/2.8.
Portrait: I would opt for the Sony 50/1.8 OSS - lovely lens with lovely bokeh. The 55/1.8 is better, but not worth the price just for APS-C IMHO.

And of course the Samyang lenses if you're willing to do manual focussing.

As a long-time NEX7 shooter that would consider an upgrade, I'm much less disappointed in the A6300's lack of IBIS than I am that it omits one of the best NEX7 features - the Tri-Navi. A pox on PASM/Scene dials; I'll probably pass on this one.

I finally had a chance to handle an a6300 last night. While some parts of it were very impressive - the EVF and overall build in particular - my original observation about the loss of the Tri-Navi was correct, it pretty much kills it for me for serious usage. It may be time for me to jump ship from E mount to an X-Pro2.

Outside of the increase in cost, I don't think you can go wrong Ken... the X-Pro2 compliments the Df as well... both being serious cameras with old school controls. They are the only two interchangable lens digital cameras I use anymore.

I think you may be right. I still haven't found a XP2 to check out, and I'd want to wait until I was sure the rumored 23/2 WR is confirmed, but I can see one replacing both my NEX kit and possibly even my X100s. It would be nice to get down to two digital platforms - Nikon and Fuji makes sense.

lauded Fuji colours and in-camera raw processing (not during shot but afterwards as per users choice) are two most interesting features I'd like to have from Fuji to Sony. maybe latter will actually happen one day. am quite content with my a6000, need more lenses not new body.

Given the xpro2 sensor has copper wiring, I suspect a variant has already arrived. If you don't need 400 phase detect points, but do want outstanding sensor performance then perhaps it's already there.

The Xt2 could be interesting
