Any performance proofs online for us to download similar to what Leica and Fuji have for their cameras? I would like to download some really good files to do a little high magnification peeping before I place any orders for the A7r.

How about these from Sony Japan? Usually Japanese sites have a few full size samples. It really is a shame companies don't put full size samples on their websites. The best test for me is taking one of their samples and printing it to check the quality.

I don't specifically know what proofs you want for the moment...
The A7r body should have similar resolution and pixel color depth as the D800E, since they are using the same sensor. Of course Sony's JPEG engine is known to be subpar...the .raw files should be essentially the same. Unfortunately there is little raw support for the A7r as of now - a truly impartial comparison must use the same file reader for both the A7r and D800E.
If you are looking for camera/lens combinations, there are some shots for the FE35 and FE55 as well as many manual lens combinations. Of course they are also OOC jpegs...so I won't judge the camera's true performance from any of them.

raw files can be processed with Sony arw converter and with latest ACR , Sony did they home work well this time. Color looks great out of the box and dynamic range seems to be top notch.
