A7r with RF glass

Many options, but my advice is get hawks or voigtlander close focus M adapter, and then use the LTM/M ring.

Then you can focus you ltm very close 🙂 They are fantastic that way

That's with the 12mm CV in LTM.

I'm doing exactly what "uhoh7" said; using an LTM-M adapter on the lens and that goes onto the M-E adapter on the camera.

I'm using the Voigtlander - it's built really well. The only other times I've used adapters is when I used the Fuji X-Pro1 system and I had the Kippon but eventually got the Fuji - Both worked well but the Fuji build was better - same goes for the Voigtlander - the build quality is really good and it's not as expensive as the Novovflex adapters.

There are plenty of adapters on the market but you gotta find one that's decent quality imho.

you can get a cheap one and they are fine, like 20bucks, from rainbowimaging.

again the best is with a close focus helicoid. Google hawks adapter or there is also a new voigtlander close focus adapter. These are not cheap, but allow close focus to like 7 inches.

Looks like there is a new version v3 not yet available. My advice is to get cheap 20usd adapter and then upgrade when these new ones are ready 🙂
 
Just don't get Metabones. I tried three, one back-focused and two front-focused! I got the least bad one, since the shop where I got the camera only had that adapter available. Removing the shims helped a little bit, but I still have to file the adapter to lose another quarter millimetre. Yes, the tolerances are that tight! That half a millimetre defines whether you can achieve infinity focus at f/2 on your Summicron. Get Novoflex or Voigtlander, or else, get the cheap Rainbowimaging one, and then shim it until you get infinity focus. It is pretty easy with the live view!

I just got a $10 adapter ("Fotasy" by rainbow imaging), and haven't got much time to even play with the setup or the A7R itself, but here are a few shots I managed to get in last 24 hours with 1981 Summicron 50/2 (v4).

All are shot raw, developed in Lightroom 5.3 RC3 with minimal picture-wide adjustments, but no spot corrections, crop, added/removed grain/noise, or lens correction type stuff.

All good a advice and steer away from cheap LTM to E adaptors (also some cheap LTM to M ones too) if you plan to use 50mm Elmar and similar with infinity lock.

Some of these adaptors have a completely flat front of a wider diameter than the lens's backplate and the Elmar's infinity lock requires a little space behind it to unlock when depressed.

If you look at a Leitz or VC LTM to M adaptor you'll see it has a cutaway provided to allow the lock to be depressed. If this is absent you are a stuck on infinity...or somewhere short of it...

I reckon this issue applies to 28 Hektor, 38 Summaron, 35 3.5 Summaron 35 Elmar, 50 3.5 Elmar, 50 Hektor and, if you are lucky enough to have one, rigid Summar...and all their copies.
 
My 28 cron on A7r review: it's very good. Slight colorshift and vignette, correctable. There is no correction for either in these shots.

in conclusion: if you love your cron you have it. if you have no RF28 and need one for A7r, get the elmarit v3. 🙂

For me the biggest issue, since I bought the lens for the 5n, is to figure out what to do with all the new FOV real estate. 🙂
 
More fun with the A7 and the CV 12mm LTM - slightly over exposed but still "passable" I think. Took it into Photoshop Elements and just applied the "smart fix".. can't wait for Adobe to support the RAW files in Lightroom (of course this means upgrading my Lightroom to 5.x 😀 )

I think the M Hexanon f2.8/28mm is a Distagon type design. That might not be enough though since it still has the short M mount register.

Anyone have one to test ?
