about to be new M2 user here Need Lens advise

From direct experience the one Leitz lens that should be on M2 is the 35mm F2.8 Summaron. That is as good as it gets IMO. Buy a few adapters for your LTM Canons and you are set. Enjoy.

It would make some sense to keep the Canon 35/1.5, sell the Canon 35/1.8, and get the 35 Summaron as recommended by a number of posters here. One fast 35 for low light and shallow dof shots; and a lovely Leica 35 as carry-everywhere, daylight shooting moderate wide.

Added a photo of the M2 as my Avatar when I receive it I'll get a proper photo of it. This is the photo from an email in 2007 when I commented on how much I would love to have on and my friend bless his heart took me up on it.

That's a great combo, looks almost like mine :) Was out with the 50mm Canon 1.2 yesterday, racked off half a roll of film, at my Son's rock concert. Having great gear helps.

If you can swing it, a black TomA M2 Rapidwinder and black TomA Softie will be a great improvement, I think you will find. And a 35mm F2.8 Summaron.

I will agree with Roland as his advise is sound, but would do differently I think.

I would keep the Canon 35/1.8, 50/1.2 (you can't replace the speed) and 100/2. I would keep or replace the Canon 50/1.8. This is a very good lens, the all around partner you camera will need. But, I would in the end I think sell it along with the rest and buy a Summicron, a contemporary of your camera. Buy film and some time to use it with the proceeds.
