Thanks for the feedback, everyone! This is the first time I've shared a body of work here, so I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement.

I wanted to keep my photo gear to a minimum as extra space is quite hard to find on trips like these, so I shot everything using a single camera, lens, film stock, and filter (multi-coated UV). I do occasionally use color filters in B+W work, but not for this trip. I debated between HP5 and FP4 and ultimately went with HP5, though once I was there I realized that FP4 would have been a fast enough film under the blazing Kyrgyz sun.
What an amazing trip, documented with some fine photos! That looks like some rugged terrain that you pedaled through. I was amused to see a donkey with a VW crest on its forehead and I especially liked the interaction with the local folk. And I, too, like that you're shooting film.
Your photos look like they were all taken with no filters. Is that your preferred approach?
Thanks for sharing your experience and your photographs with us.

Congratulations on the trip. For those interested in another photographic journey through that area of the world, try Ivan Sigal's White Road.

Bravo! I dream of taking a trip like this some day.
Did you need to take special care to pack the MP for travel on those rough roads, or did you simply throw it into one of your bags?
