Ok, what's the deal here... About year ago I struggled with ltm-->m adapters; the adapters did not work as they should and got detached from the bayonet all the time by themselfs. At that time I had M2 and some ebay-random adapter and one original Leica adapter. Same problem with both. Original Leica lenses did not come loose, stayd firmly in it's place (until i pushed that lens release button, of course). So the problem was in those adapters, right?
Now I have M6 and just recieved Voigtländer 50mm adapter and the same problem AGAIN! The lens definitely does not stay firmly enough on the adapter that I would be comfortable enough to keep anything valuable attached to that adapter. Am I having the worst adapter-luck known to mankind or is this just normal? When I grab the lens and twist it, I definetely don't have to use much force to get the lens out of the bayonet... I small child would have the muscle needed. There is definitely hte possibility that I could accidentaly twist the lens off while shooting...and that could be a disaster. And yes, once again original Leica lens without adapters stays 100% firmly on the camera, no worriying about that.
So, please attach your adapter lenses to your M-body and try if you can twist it of from the bayonet "easily" or not... This is absolutely way too annoying and frustrating situation again. And just 10 minutes ago I ordered (and paid) 35/1.7 with adapter...of my...that would be a real joy if that lens would also be dropping to the pavement all by itself.
And yes, to clarify; the adapter detaches form the m-bayonet -- not lens detaching from the adapter.
