I have a Leica M4-P with a Voighlander 35mm & 75mm screw mount lens. I bought an adapter to mount them on my M4-P. They mount up & focus fine, but the lens do not center up like an m mount lens, they are off center about an inch. They lock in & work but it is like they need to be turned another inch. Is this normal. Help me if you can Thank's.

A few mm is normal. An inch is a lot. If both lenses behave the same, I would get a different CV or Leica adapter.
If only one lens does this, sounds like somebody rotated the lens mount by 120 degrees.

Roland.

It really depends on the lens, Joe. Some CV lenses (like the 21 and 28 Color Skopars) have about 1 inch wide "gaps" in the helix/mount, that the adapter has to align with, roughly at least. Not sure about Ultron or Heliar, in this case they align at infinity, so the combo seems functional.

Maybe it's a lens to lens thing. I have the 28/3.5, 35/2.5 and a 50/2.5 on the appropriate VC LTM/M adapters and they all mount straight up on both the M4P and a CLE.
Back when people were fretting about the Hexar RF film-to-flange thing, a lot of people were disassembling mounts, removing shims and using alternate sets of screw holes in the VC mounts.
Maybe this happened to his lens. An inch is outside the range of "not lining up" that others have posted.
Or maybe I just screwed everything together too tightly. 🙂
