Adapters for the Canon EF-mount vs Nikon F-mount

There seem to be many adapters for the EF-mount, but not so much for the F-mount. I'm wondering, is the EF-mount easier to work with? Just curious

The EF mount has a very short register distance. The F-mount has one of the longest of 135 SLR cameras. Making it difficult to adapt lenses from systems with shorter register (flange to film plane distance).

The EF mount is also larger, making it easier to buid adapters for other bayonets that fit partially inside it.
