Adapting Industar-22 to Leica M (?) infinity lock

Hello

Long ago I bought an LTM Industar-22 and I want to use it on my M3. Is there an adapter which will allow this to happen (seeing as how the lens' infinity lock blocks the body's lens release button)? If anybody has done this, please let me know. Or, if you have an adapter for sale which allows this to occur, please let me know.

You obviously will need an LTM to M mount adaptor whether it is a Leitz, CV or any good quality Chinese made one off ebay.

You will probably will have to remove the infinity locking pin on the l-22 and you might also have to file off the locking tab on the flange of the lens if it hits the lens release collar on the M3.

I know that the similar collapsible I-10 lens that came on the Fed 2 camera had a flush mounted infinity lock that might work better on the M3.

I just filed the adapter part to allow focus tab back to move. It was cheap MiC adapter.

You could just unscrew the lens from the adapter, then release the adapter normally. If you want to stay with a collapsible (I-26M comes in a version that has no focus lever, but not collapsible), you could always get one of those FED lenses that is 90 degrees out of register with the rest of the world. It might throw a shadow on the frame illumination, but would definitely clear the lens release button.
