Hi All, just scored a $5.00 NZD bottom winder 400ASA Canonet which looks like it will be a good bargain :)

Everything (so far) works as it should and I'm keen to run some 135 through it. Before I do though I notice that the vertical alignment in the viewfinder is off and would like to adjust it. Looking here and the internet only seems to show instructions for the later model Canonets (top winder and hot shoe models) unfortunately.
Does anyone here know of any instructions for these earlier model Canonets?

I did this about twenty years ago, so it is not fresh in my mind but I do remember the bottom film winder Canonet has the easiest top to take off of any camera to work on. The rest was equally easy if I remember correctly.
This might help you out.

That went well :) Hardest part was dealing with the tiny screws that hold the top plate above the viewfinder to clean the glassware. Needed almost 1/4 of a turn anti-clockwise on the vertical adjust to line them up, but now have a clean view and line up of images in the (much clearer) RF patch :)

Recently almost went into bidding to get one. Frankly, bottom wind model is the one from whole Canonet line I'd go for. Come back with pictures from it!
