The US economy will come back, I am sure, - but it will take a long time this time around. So long that Leica (and Hasselblad, - others?) just might go bust in the mean time.

Well, it looks like 50mm ASPH went up the most. Cheaper, and more expensive lenses weren't affected as much. It looks like this lens is the most popular, and Leica took an advantage of it's popularity. I think, they will keep repeating it, until it stops selling. Their researching of the firm price is in progress.
