Advice on pricing - is it okay to ask?

Nobody is upset, Frank. "Minty" IS an asinine phrase. It means nothing, really.

"Mint" means something in numismatics... there are published and accepted standards for the use of that term for grading the condition of coins.

But what is "minty"... just another way of saying "not like new", something less, some wear or damage visible.

And besides, cameras never were "minted"... coins are minted; Cameras are manufactured.

But I am glad that your funny-bone was tickled. 🙄

How about 'mintish' instead of 'minty' 🙂

Thanks for the info about KEH. I've never been to the site but I'll check it out.

There is "mint" and "not mint".

"Mint" means pristine, appearing and working like new.

"Excellent" is not mint, meaning it has some minor flaws or signs of use.

There is no such thing as "minty". It is either mint or not.
