AE logic on Bessa R2a or R3a

I am looking at likely either getting a R2a or R3a and I was wondering how the AE logic worked. Since the camera is picking the shutter speed, and shutter speed are full stops, the exposure could be off by a half a stop, which would adversely effect slide film exposure?

For example if the ideal shutter speed at a given aperture for an exposure should be 1/45, does the camera pick 1/30 or 1/60? Does it indicate that the exposure is a 1/2 stop off?

From Stephen's website on the R[23]A: AE Selected shutter speeds are stepless 1/2000th to 8 seconds. The LED speeds indicated in the viewfinder are rounded off. .

The speeds are stepless in automatic mode.

The camera meters light reflected off the gray shutter and sets exposure to some value that would render a gray subject gray.

But how often do you shoot a perfectly average scene ?
And what do you think - did the photographers in the 50's and 60's have super-precise spotmeters when they shot kodachrome ? No.
Even slide film has some latitude. I think just enough to handle full stop increments in shutter speed and f-stop. For example me: I shoot slides with OM-4 and set shutter speed and f-stop manually, so even though the camera can measure it to 1/3 stop, I set my exposure in full stops and the slides are still perfectly usable.
