Fantastic news if this comes to pass. I still have some APX 100 in my freezer, and I'd love to be able to get more!

I think the brand name and manufacturing has been taken over by Efke, in Croatia. I recall that Efke purchased the brand and the manufacturing equipment from Agfa, and hired their key technical personnel.
I wouldn't expect the Efke-manufactured film to be identical to Agfa's product; though I expect it will be as similar as possible.
Now if they would just purchase the rights to make Panatomic-X.

Ferrania colour film, if my press release is anything to go by.

Not sure about Efke, but I do believe that the current Rollei Retro line is actually based on Agfa APX emulsion.

I have fond memories of Agfa chromes that I shot 28 years ago when I bought my first Leica.

Whoa--if Vista is anything like Ultra Color, I may reconsider my impending move to E-6.

I shot a roll of vista last summer in Shanghai. I'd need to dig up the negs to check, but from memory it was a) cheap and b) nothing to write home about.

I'm always happy to see more options available when it comes to film.

Wow. Bring back the papers too and I'll really be happy.![]()
Some of the black and white paper is already back- check out ADOX MCC 110 (available from Freestyle in the U.S.). This is paper is a re-release of Agfa Mutli-Contrast Classic FB, and really looks and behaves pretty much like the original. Now I just wish they would bring back Brovira, and some of their older graded papers- but I'm not holding my breath.

It is even more complex. Efke (Croatia) bought the Adox production facilities some four decades ago, but lost the global trade mark, which later was puchased by Fotoimpex, the Efke film importer/reseller in Germany. This "new" Adox eventually partnered up with some former Agfa ngineers to set up a paper production on used Agfa production equipment in Germany, but as far as I know of that is a paper only thing and does not involve Efke.

Very true. You can also get them slightly cheaper by the name Arista Private Reserve papers. I bought a pack of 11x14 VC RC and I like the black a lot.

I used the 400 ISO (and maybe the 200 ISO version) about 8 years ago. For me it was cheap substitute for Kodak Supra, although a bit more muted, and a tad grainer, as I recall. Quite different from Ultra Color.

Any film expansion is good news! If nothing else it keeps film on the radar screen.

Great news! I'm stocked up with APX100 but will run out eventually. As others have said it's good for film that such an iconic brand is back on the street.

APX25 is the only one I'd want back.

I'm interested in seeing some of the P&S cameras. I'm sure they'll be plastic and lower tier, but they might be fun.
Good to see the return of Agfpan. I don't see Scala mentioned. Well, I guess you can't get the whole kit and kaboodle.

Agfa killed off APX 25. I doubt we'll see that return. But you never know. Rollei has some interesting low-speed films at the moment.
