I don't know why over the years that I have never bought an Agfa Optima before, its one that was spotted on my radar but never aquired, it looks quite cool and on the display shelf goes well with my XA with their orange and red shutter buttons
build quality, well my agfa has what seems quite substantial build quality, the lens looks the part, as for sharpness well i'll let you know after a few test rolls, but for me a real bonus is the large uncluttered veiwfinder with superb brightline framing

I just put some batteries in my new-to-me Agfa Optima today; haven't decided what film to load for the first roll. The viewfinder is quite nice. The shutter sound is one of the best IMHO. It's a solid, chunky little camera.

These compact AGFA are among my favourite for sure. Outstanding in both design & image results.
For the scale-focus Sensor & Sensor 1035, I often use Superia 400 for extra DOF.
The more expensive Sensor 1535 is equipped with a rangefinder--useful, but then its viewfinder can't be as bright as the scale-focus ones'...
