Agfa Vista 100?

It's pretty good, I would not pay more than $2 a roll for it, if you can find any that is. Have not seen it for a while.

It's right up there with Kodak Gold 100, Fuji Superia 100, etc.....

Fuji Reala and Kodak Gold 100 I think are better myself.

I cannot comment on Vista 100, though I do have experience with Vista 200 (or private label versions) and have some in the fridge. Very generally speaking, Agfa colour films have slightly more pronounced grain than Kodak or Fuji, but a different colour balance and tonality. It's a tradeoff, and I tend to like Agfa's vision of the world. But at 100 speed, I am pleased with all of them, especially Reala 100 and Portra 160. I know the latter is not 100 speed, but it looks like it to me!

I also have experience with Vista 200 and in general I like its colors. Exposed as ISO 125 or 100 the grain becomes much smaller as well, but it's still not bad at box speed. I often use it so that I expose it normally as ISO 100 and at box speed in low light.

Vista 400, however, is too grainy for me at box speed. It has about as much or even a bit more grain than Fuji Superia 800 at box speed and much more than Superia 400, Kodak Gold or Ultramax 400.

I've shot the private label 200 quite a bit and like it.

However, I haven't seen it available for some time now. Yes, agree that it's slightly more grainy than Fuji or Kodak 200, but not too bad.

I really really like Agfa Vista 100. Reala 100 will always be my favourite film(especially the 120), but I am taken by the Vista effect.

These were both taken with Vista 100, and the lovely old Miranda Sensorex I bought here from Jon Goodman...
