Finally got confirmation that what I wanted I'll get. Order is in.
0.58 frameline 28/90, 35, and 50 only:
- Black paint M7
- No "M7" engraving on the front of the camera, and no Leica dot at all.
- classic engravings
- black paint MP style levers
- Vulkanit
- black paint ring above advance lever
- black paint hot shoe
- black paint on/off lever
Only chrome showing will be lugs and lens release button--not that I really care about those being black or not.
Turn around time was quoted as 6-8 weeks. Should arrive when I go to Oregon Coast for much needed R&R--cross fingers, knock on wood...
Can't wait!

How many days have you shot that M9 Jesse? Looks like a 40 year old M2.

It sounds like mine:

- chrome lugs and release button
but, mine has:
- 0.72 finder
- black paint M4 style levers
- chrome ring above advance lever
- no on/off lever
- and no meter
I waited around for a used a la carte MP with the same looks as your M7 (including the faster rewind crank), but finally found a good deal on a black M4. I waited much longer than 6-12 weeks before I found it. Hope yours arrives quick!

I've been thinking about this idea for some time now. I have both the M7 and MP, but I prefer the M7 as a tool for photography. It just suites my style better. I've been saving for an M9, but man...an a la carte M7 (.85 magnification, black paint, vulkanite leatherette) Tough choice!
