If not, they’re in every antique shop and Goodwill. LOLI might still have my parent's copy of the Tijuana Brass album.

I too enjoy many of the old Blue Note album covers. But it seems that most of my favorite album covers were created by the English design collective “Hipgnosis”. Not only do I still own many of their creations in my collection of LPs, but I also bought a book detailing their work. Not long ago a documentary was made about Hipgnosis titled “Squaring the Circle” — highly recommended if like me you enjoy the work of this small firm that graced the the albums of numerous rock/pop artists back in the late 60s through the early 80s.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band. Incomparably incomprehensible, just like the music, down to the fact that from my perspective as an aquatic biologist, the ‘trout’ mask is a carp. Trout Mask Replica - Wikipedia

The Neon Park cover art for all the Little Feat recordings is delightful -- always imaginative, distinctive, and a lot of fun. For one example see Dixie Chicken - Wikipedia

I like the album cover from "My Pussy Belongs To Daddy".
I first had other thoughts when I saw this artwork in a shop couple of months ago... but then I went listening to it online, it's sounding like real Christmas music from 1950's.
Nicely done!

Mapplethorpe also took the photo that ended up, as a photocopied version, on the front of Television’s Marquee Moon: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/af/Marquee_moon_album_cover.jpg

In case you haven´t read "Just Kids" by Patti Smith, it´s worth a read. It covers the development of both Mapplethorpe and Smith, artistically and personally, when they were - just kids.Mapplethorpe also took the photo that ended up, as a photocopied version, on the front of Television’s Marquee Moon: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/af/Marquee_moon_album_cover.jpg

I read it during a winter beach holiday when it rained and rained and rained. Quite evocative to read while listening, listening to the rain.
