I haven't used my film cameras for a while, been shooting with the M43, X100 and GRD4 that I almost forgot my film RFs. Today I loaded my M2 with a Neopan 400 and realized I enjoyed it more than the convenience of a digital. I love that routine of putting film into it and the excitement that follows after finishing off the 36 exposures. I still have some XTol maybe more than a year un-mixed and using a several months old expired film, it adds up to the excitement.

Haven't finished off the roll, I committed myself to shoot only film this weekend. Will find some nice photo ops but weather is a bit bleak as it's now rainy season here.

The best camera is one that still works!
I like digital and enjoy shooting with my RD-1 and even quite enjoy working with the ('tub of lard' ...

D700 when required.
But real pleasure comes from my OM-1 with a roll of my chosen emulsion and a fine Zuiko lens or two ... nothing beats it!![]()

Gil, isn't that a little like a special occasion somewhere between birthdays and Christmases in the past everytime you go through that film loading/shooting and waiting?

I don't shoot digital. I'm excited all the time.

Yes Dave it tickles my mind whenever I do that, I still have film processed if I don't have the time but generally I will wait for a few rolls (4-6) before I develop. That is also more economical rather than 1-2 films at a time.

I can't wait. If I have a roll of exposed film sitting more than 2 days it drives me nuts.
