alternate processes

a bit of curiosity from my side - is there any interest in alternate processes here (among the RFF users)?

if so, what do you do?
chemical or digital?

for example, i'm experimenting with a digital version of the lith process:

I would be interested in traditional processes not digital processes other than making digital negatives for printing. I do platinum printing, cyanotypes and collodion wet plate. I'd be interested in sharing images and technical process data.

i get your point - and after having seen real collodion prints myself, i clearly understand why.

however, because not everyone can go into the chemical processes (that's the case for me), i also (explicitly) include alternate digital processes, even though it is not the "real deal".

it's still fun!

I love lith also.
But it'll be quite some time until I have time to experiment with it again.

Just curious, what is your "recipe" for reproducing lith using digital? I've never try it before.

actually, it started a few years ago, when a friend of mine explained the lith process to me, and closed with claiming, that it won't be possible to have a digital process that yields results reasonably similar to lith.
i doubted that.
and the next thing i know is, that he came up with a java program that would digitally generate pictures very similar to the way the lith process works chemically.

so, the honour is all his.
