Some of you may already know of this place - but if not it's one more place to spend your hard earned money on camera related items.

Right now there's about 150 buy-it-now items and eveything from a Cetro folding camera for $45, a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex with box for $32 to some old varifocal Nikon finder for $150 or best offer.

They just sold a nice Nikon S2 w/ 50/2 lens there as well for $750.

Yes, cameras and lots of other antique/collectables. I've looked througuh their site but never bought anything. My impression, however, is that the difference betwen them and eBay is that RubyLane is fixed price or "offer" rather than auction. Am I mistaken?

You're right - they don't really 'auction' things. It's mostly fixed price - or best offer - as you say.

Never bought anything from them either but once there was some Canon outfit that peeked my curiosity but my offer was too low and I moved on.
