alternative monochrome

Anybody heard any rumors of any camera manufacturers other than Leica about to step up to the plate and do the right thing by offering a monochrome-only camera without the awful bayer cfa?

Yes. The new Fuji X-Pro2 is going to be issued in two models, one X-Trans color, and one is a new B&W sensor.
